Since my Master’s degree at the University of Kaiserslautern-Landau (RPTU), I have been working towards dependable AI. I started with functional safety, and worked on several projects involving functional safety. Then I shifted my focus on enabling use of machine learning in safety critical components, i.e. dependable machine learning. Specially keeping in mind the upcoming standards and new development in this direction. I have worked on several national and international projects that focused on the dependability of AI. Projects including SECREDAS, BIECO, SESAME, and SPELL, to name but a few. They involved several safety-critical and finance-critical use cases, ranging from pedestrian/person detection (SESAME) to investment portfolio prediction (BIECO).
